There's A Fungus Amoung Us...

At Least I Can Make Something Grow.....

So even though we are still over 6" behind in total rainfall here in 2013 at the Turbo Pup Compound West out here on the not so mighty banks of the Arkansas River...

I was wandering out to my garden yesterday to take a look at the Corn crop the mold and Raccoons and Deer hadn't already destroyed when I found these lovely items...

YES...that would be a lovely crop of mushrooms which had sprouted up over the past couple of cool days and nights...that one there on the right beside the soda water can measuring over 9" in diameter...

...and there they all are this afternoon after fully developing.  The original 9" sized guy on the far right is now over 11" in diameter.

The good news is my water melons and cantaloupe are coming in nicely, and a bunch of different varieties of potatoes are coming in, and I have this one giant squash plant I put out next to the upstairs kitchen door which is the size of a Volkswagen beetle.

I'll try to get out and get some more photos and post them to show you my successes and failures this season as a neophyte Oklahoma farmer.

Regards Y'all...
