Hunter’s Moon

More nerdy stuff…

What are you doing at 6:59 PM Monday night?

Nothing? Well, I have a suggestion.

I’ll be standing outside with my camera watching the full “Hunter’s Moon rising in the twilight sky. Weather permitting, this should be one of those full moons that rises with a golden fall hue and looks as big as a dinner plate while it is close to the horizion. Of course the exact time of the moon rise varies slightly based on your geographic position.

If you are a night owl and live on the US Pacific coast there will also be a partial eclipse of the full moon viewable about 5:00 AM this morning. (Sorry, but if you’re reading this at work on Monday you already missed the eclipse.)

Wear a sweater...it's chilly that time of the morning...
