James Doohan, the loveable, thick accented Chief Engineer Mr. Scott in the 1960’s version of the TV show Star Trek died today at the age of 85.
I watched the show every week when it was on in the mid 1960’s and pause to watch the shows in reruns even today.
Lines like “I can’t get more power captain…” are instantly recognized, even by people born 20 years after the shows first aired
It saddens me to know that no longer can we all say “Beam me up Scotty…”
