Someone Call Owl Gore...
The temperature was near 65 degrees here yesterday as it rained all day.
Then when I finally got up about 8:30 this morning it was 32 degrees on the digital weather station and snow was accumulating on the deck and shrubs in the yard.
Meanwhile my back and right leg is killing me with this latest bout with Sciatica...something that's been coming on and off for the past five years or so...
so you will have to excuse me if my blogging and Internet presence is limited for the time being.
Y'all have a LOVELY day, regardless of my affliction's symptoms

US Officials Finally Catch Dangerous Terrorist at Mexican Border
"Trying To Tell Their Ass From A Hole In The Ground..."
Man oh Man do I feel safer this morning...Ladies and Gentlemen...
I just learned that they (they being the local and Federal "Officials" of Hudspeth County Texas and the United By-God States of 'Merica) arrested Willie Nelson near the US Mexican Border after finding him with six ounces of Pot in his motor home.
He wasn't driving the motor coach, by the way...and the youngest occupant of the crowd of malfeasance's and malcontents was apparently over the age of 50.
Taking a big breath here boss...
It makes me crazy that these stupid rocket scientists can't keep criminal Mexicans out of our streets and off of our door steps but they can preen their feathers and crow about keeping an old Hippy from possessing and smoking some Dope.
Isn't that %$#@! amazing in this day and time?
Meanwhile, here's a link to a list of things we can as Americans all still be thankful for this Holiday season...and here's the last couple of things the writer David Boaz mentions:
Freedom of religion. Church and state have been bound together since time immemorial. The state claimed divine sanction, the church got money and power, the combination left little room for freedom. As late as the 17th century, Europe was wracked by religious wars. England, Sweden, and other countries still have an established church, though their citizens are free to worship elsewhere. Many people used to think that a country could only survive if everyone worshipped the one true God in the one true way. The American Founders established religious freedom.
Property and contract. We owe our unprecedented standard of living to the capitalist freedoms of private property and free markets. When people are able to own property and make contracts, they create wealth. Free markets and the legal institutions to enforce contracts make possible vast economic undertakings–from the design and construction of airplanes to worldwide computer networks and ATM systems. But to appreciate the benefits of free markets, we don’t have to marvel at skyscrapers while listening to MP3 players. We can just give thanks for enough food to live on, and central heating, and the medical care that has lowered the infant mortality rate from about 20 percent to less than 1 percent.
A Kenyan boy who managed to get to the United States told a reporter for Woman’s World magazine that America is “heaven.” Compared to countries that lack the rule of law, equality, property rights, free markets, and freedom of speech and worship, it certainly is. A good point to keep in mind this Thanksgiving Day.
Grab ahold of your own Butt and your insurance card and hang on because it's going to be a wild ride in the year 2011 I think...
