And shifting Priorities...
Geez...
Well, I don't know quite what happened, but I blinked and just now realized that the week was over with and it was already Saturday and I've been invisible here on the blog since what...Tuesday?
Sorry.
I came back home this week, and I sat down at my desk in my office for a while, then moved to the computer workstation in the shop, and one thing lead to another and I just haven't had the time to write anything worth reading here.
Of course some people say that is the situation most if not all of the time regarding my ramblings, but still...
I'm up to my eyeballs in work and proposal requests and between spending time beating on vendors and chasing potential vendors and otherwise working 40 or 50 hours a week these days...things are a little slow here in the Internet Commentary Department.
That's a good thing in theory, but since it lends itself to lapses in my commentary if I keep it up I'm afraid it will also cause further lapses in my sanity.
I'm pretty much used to being a useless bum in recent history, thus I don't quite know how to handle things anymore when the work load gets like it has been since January 1st of this year. If I'm not careful I'll end up working full time here in my basement.
Who knew things would lead to this?

Live From Peachtree Street
Free Internet At Starbucks...
I swear every battery I have is dieing (phone and computer) and I spent the night last night with an old friend in the city which is possibly one of the lastdozen six three people on the planet that still uses AOL for Internet.
Not only that, but all of his computers are at leastfive six eight years old so it takes a half hour to load the AOL home page and then get to Yahoo e-mail.
I didn't dare try to get to Blogger last night but I snuck back downtown for lunch after finally finishing my PLC Operator Interface start up this morning and after grabbing some soft tacos I wandered in here to try to catch up on what's going on in the world for a few minutes.
Things went well yesterday and I could have finished my work until we ran into some wiring problems in stuff the plant people had done so I had to come back this morning.
Oh well, the panel was singing and dancing and speaking in foreign languages when I left and the customer was happy.
Time to head back south now to see what's been going on with the Turbo Pup and Pat.
Regards Y'all...

Packers 31--Steelers 25
Not All Gloom & Doom...
Oh well, we stomped and cheered and stood up in front of the TV most of the second half but couldn't stop the Steelers from beating themselves with turnovers.
Fortunately for me personally I'm a fair weather Steelers fan and just cheer along with Pat's family because they're all die hards.
It's sad but at least the Pittsburgh team has been in the big game two years in a row...something few teams have accomplished in the past 45 seasons.
Time now to turn my attention to getting ready for a big meeting and plant start-up visit tomorrow.
