Once again--like Bush-v-Gore and the US Supreme Court decision --here now in THE VERY FIRST guage of which candidate should represent the Conservative Republican Party tonight I see potential voter fraud and intentional manipulation of our 2012 Presidential election compromised.
Don't get me wrong here Ladies and Gentlemen.
I really don't give a green gosh darn about what the people in Iowa ceremoniously marching around in tonight's "caucus" process think about who should be living on Pennsylvania Avenue in the White House in late January 2013.
What I do care about is that when and if we re-elect the multi-cultural, multi-ethical, multi-colored "community organizer in-chief" presently residing in the oval office that he is presented with a valad opponent and here from the outset of the official process to determine a Republican Candidate the Idiots out in Iowa can't execute a process they've been doing for nearly a century without screwing things up and losing critical ballots from critical precints.
One minute they're passing laws taking our rights away from us and making it hard or illegal to own a gun while at the same time playing games and screwing around with the very process which determines who gets to pass those same laws and legislation.
I don't know about you, but Belize or Costa Rica is looking pretty good.
Come to think of it, just writing about this crap after watching it unfold makes head hurt so I have to go and do some more stuff now...

Trumpets Versus Trombones and Violins
A Rocket Scientist Faces Uncertainty...
I 'm sitting here this morning trying to decide what to sell and how much to ask if I sell any given item in my upcoming "Carport Sale" of semi-unwanted "Stuff" we don't want to pay to move.
Any Ideas?
I have a bunch of realy weird musical crap...specifically a old Holton trumpet, a Chinese Flugelhorn, and a box full of Horner and Lee Oscar Harmonicas and finally a real Austrailia Didgeridoo made from an Eucalyptus tree which has been naturally hollowed out by termites.
Historically I like musical instruments where you hit a string between frets (the guitar) or push a piston (the trumpet) or blow in a hole (the Harmonica) instead of those weird things like the viola and violin or even the Trombone with it's slide where you have to somehow memorize and hit the place on the dang thing in orde to get a note which is in tune EACH AND EVERY TIME.
I'm definitely going to keep the Harmonicas, but the Trumpet and Flugelhorn are up for bids along with my antique Remington Noiseless Portable Typewriter.
Then there is the carpet shampoo machine and almost the entire living room except for my framed photos and drawings and now at 8 AM I guess we will have a bunch of strangers wandering around looking at our "STUFF."
Just for your assurance, I'll try to avoid killing any members of the "GENERAL PUBLIC" and continue on with our progression to Tulsa.

What We Teach Kids Today

Having been on vacation for two weeks, and being busy as hell when I'm not on vacation, I realized that I haven't done any political correctness commentary in a while about the insanity of our limp wristed, pantie waisted, sniveling, booger eating tree hugging society and the idiots in charge of running things these days.
So this morning I present this story about a 6th grade football player hit with "Madre-Hill" Rule which stops him from playing football at his best because it makes the other kids look bad and possibly hurts their "self esteem."
MALVERN, AR - Malvern hasn't seen a football player like this for a long time.
"He is going to score almost every time he touches the ball," said Wilson Intermediate School Principal Terri Bryant.
At the young age of 11-years-old, Demias Jimerson reminds a lot of people of Razorback great Madre Hill.
"If you were looking at them you would say they were very much similar," said Darryl Baker, who coached Hill and now referees Jimerson's games. "I mean they both run really fast, good kids, run with the same style."
Like Jimerson, Hill attended Wilson Intermediate School and dominated the football field so thoroughly, the league invoked what came to be known as the Madre Hill Rule. Once Hill scored three touchdowns, if his team had a 14-point lead, officials banned him from scoring any more touchdowns.
"I got, kinda got shocked because I didn't know that was gonna happen, but it did," said Jimerson. Adding, "I'm ok with it."
Principal Bryant, the defacto commissioner of the Wilson Intermediate Football League, says the rule isn't meant to punish Jimerson. It's there to help the other fifth and sixth graders on the field develop as football players too.
"The other players on both teams, 21 are just left sort of, this is all Demias," she said. "So that's why the Madre Hill Rule has been implemented."
You see, Ladies and Gentlemen, this is where we are in this country at all levels of our society and politics.
"Spread the wealth" is the motto, and we pass laws and in this case make rules trying to ensure success for everyone while in the process limiting success for those who work harder or have a talent for a given endeavor.
Suppose the other 21 kids never work out and are giant lard assed idiots that eat every meal at McDonalds and hardly show up for practice?
And suppose that little Demias Jimerson, like Tom Hanks' character Forrest Gump, is considered a "running fool" and gets up every morning and eats a good breakfast and runs all day everywhere he goes and plays football in his back yard in pick up games in between league games.
Is it really fair to him to force him to sit on the sidelines while his fellow so called "team mates" play an inferior form of the game?
I swear to the good Lord above this kind of crap is creaping through our society and political system, and it's coming to get YOU and ME before I die.
Already President Obama is out there telling the idiots that went to High School with me and you and didn't study and/or dropped out that it isn't "FAIR" that we have nice cars and nice houses and good health insurance and 401K's and take vacations and don't have to live from "paycheck to paycheck"
This is the exact same thing being taught to a 6th grader, just using a different form of currency...points made on a football field instead of dollars made in business or working a good job.
This kind of crap makes my ever greying, ever balding head spin at near orbital rotational velocity...YOU KNOW?
I have to go now before I spoil all of my good attitude gained at the beach last week.

You Get What You Pay For Are Paid For
Government Induced Ineptitude & Stupidity
Wow...I just made myself a killer batch of Crisp Rosemary Flatbread at 3:15 AM in the morning because I Googled it and I wanted a snack and nothing in my ever growing arsenal of recipes fit the needs of my taste buds at the moment.
It came out pretty good I think...
Then in the process...less than 30 minutes for two batches of baking powder based thin crispy cracker like dough to come together and cook...I started thinking about how many people have been dumbed down or otherwise raised today with a basic inability to survive unless they can go to Taco Bell or Burger King or go into their kitchen at 3:15 AM and reach into the pantry or fridge/freezer and get out a box of some MSG and preservative laden slop and toss it into the microwave oven.
You know?
I could start a fire in the back yard--I have the charcoal and wood--and cook this flatbread on a cast iron skillet...
Yet the poor people armed only with microwaves are crap out of luck if the power is off and FEMA has declared an EMERGENCY and is mobilizing into their area of our country.
Let's face it Ladies and Gentlemen...in the past 75 years or so our country and our citizenry has allowed themselves to be made helpless in the face of earthquake and wildfire and tornadoes and hurricanes and even famine because they have to open a Government Provided and Approved shrink wrapped yellow or orange box of bullcrap in order to just avoid starvation.
Most will die from either not having water at all or not knowing how to determine if the water is safe for drinking and if it isn't not know how to filter and sanitize it to a condition where it is not poison.
I guarandamtee you that in 1935 that was not the conditions here in the United By-God States of 'Merica.
In 1935 my Father's family and my Mother's family used outhouses, and they pumped their water for drinking and washing and watering their livestock from a well on their properties. I don't believe either side of the family had electricity until after World War II....I'll check and get back with you on that detail.
Any way...while my Father's family worked in the Coal mines of West Virginia and had access to the "Company Store" for some provisions, they also raised a garden and new how to shoot a gun and if things got lean the occasional deer or squirrel or rabbit might appear on the table beside a chicken or rooster from the back yard.
Same way down in lower Alabama on my Mother's side of the Family Tree. My Grandfather "Pa" Rushing had a hand dug well with a Windmill and a Smokehouse for curing meats, a Hay Barn, a Corn Crib, a Sugar Cane mill on 355 acres of land he paid cash for with a house he built by hand with lumber harvested and had sawed and milled from the property.
"Pa" Rushing could live for several months without going to town if he didn't want to I suspect...and town was only three or four miles away and he owned a car and a Ford Tractor and even a couple of sweet old tame Holstein Milk Cows that could get him there if he wanted.
My point is this...this morning.
There is a insidious, dangerous, creeping poison which is working it's way into our society and country.
A little "tax increase on the wealthy" HERE with an ever evolving definition of what "wealthy" is...
And a little "extension of unemployment benefits" THERE with the Government screwing with the private sector and making it less painful for people that actually believe that it's the Government's job to "produce Jobs."
And right now it's pretty much certain that over 75% of our population would die within a year if all of our so called "infrastructure" went away and they were left to their own capabilities and devices.
Think April 1776 in America.
Of course some would just take their guns and run out and rob and kill and steal to get food and the other "stuff" that they believe that they needed.
And some would just wander around aimlessly and fall off a clift or into a river and die.
And then all of the Democrats would run out of other people's money to spend and they'd all be tar and feathered and ridden out of town on a rail (to quote Samuel Clemmons.)
And then you know what else might happen?
The PRODUCERS...
the people like me and some of you that have benefited from and in the day helped start this country and make it great at times in its history...
They'd end up being in charge and owning stuff and making stuff again.
Somewhere I read where if you took all of the wealth in the entire world and divided it up and distributed it equally to every single person on the planet, that within 100 years the same groups/nationalities/races of people would have most of the money and the same groups/nationality/races of people would be broke.
It's not about fairness and equality and government driven "income redistribution".
It's not racism and bigotry.
Other than catastrophic illness or birth defects or certain unspecified issues, in general I say that it is a CULTURAL PROBLEM which puts people in the position they are in in life.
Drop out of a free 12 year government paid education...?
Minimum wage.
Get pregnant twice before you are 16?
WIC and Welfare.
Sit your lazy ass on the couch and smoke Crack and clean your pistols all day?
Prison.
It's just that simple...and I'M FREAKING TIRED OF LISTENING TO THE POLITICIANS TELLING ME THAT I DON'T PAY MY FAIR SHARE--EVEN AT MY CURRENT TEMPORARY INCOME LEVEL--and that somehow if we can just throw some more of yours and my money at the problem we'll solve this situation.
President Johnson swore that Welfare would help bring the "less fortunate" people out of poverty.
Almost 50 years later all it has done is paid people to stay in the situation the government defines as poverty, living a a lifestyle level which is considered middle class in many European countries.
I'm so tired of this stupid crap my head wants to explode every day. I write about it here to let off steam and to keep Pat from beating me with her Dustbuster.
We can't even watch TV together most of the time other than game shows because I start foaming at the mouth and yelling.
My dog gets all concerned and afraid and goes and hides in her crate because she thinks something is wrong if I'm watching CNN or NBC or CBS news.

Ten Years Later And We're Still Under Attack...
What a Freak Show we have for both an elected government and their appointees.
Pray for the victims and their surviving families of the horror which struck our country a decade ago, and pray that it won't be further politicized or disrespected by a group of people which only think of themselves and their power and political gain.
My head hurts just thinking about this crowd, so I guess I'll go now.

My Thoughts On 9/11
Freedom Ain't Free Dammit....
I've been pretty much sitting around here this week distracted with personal and other professional crap for the most part but in the back of my mind I knew that the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks on NY City and the Pentagon and Pennsylvania was coming up.
Fox NEWS and the local and national newspapers have all been hyping things up but to me it pisses me off that this date on the calendar has to be HYPED UP in the first place.
After all...what isn't there to understand about a bunch of towel headed Muslim Jihadist assholes coming over here from third world countries where they don't have toilets or hot and cold running water or electricity and cable TV and blowing us all up because we have toilets and hot and cold running water and electricity and cable TV ?
Seriously, if you follow the news stories about these shitheads which did the 9/11 airliner strike thing these limp penised little Arab boys spent the time they weren't in the flight training program sitting in HOOTERS and in local TITTY BARS while at the same time praising ALLAH and looking for their 72 Virgins. They hated America and Americans but they enjoyed the very things that they could not find in their own countries.
It's the ultimate parody of their religious faith that as far as I can tell that each and every one of them came here to the United By-God States of 'Merica years in advance of their attack on us and our way of life and lived as Americans and took advantage of all of the conveniences and privileges available in our country and our way of life here in North America.
And then they proceeded to attack us.
But what is more insidious today is the attack we are suffering from within our country. From within our own GOVERNMENT.
The idiot Mayor of NY City isn't even going to let there be Clergy or any prayers offered at tomorrow's "Official" ceremony.
The idiot Mayor of NY City and stupid Governor of NY isn't even making any special accommodations for "first responders"--fire fighters and police men---at tomorrow's "Official" ceremony.
I say it's a sad state of affairs when we don't need the towel headed jihadists to attack and change our way of life here in America.
They've already won this war because we're attacking ourselves from within...

Let's Get This Straight One More Time

My head is ready to explode with all of this BS talk about the Federal Government's role in "CREATING JOBS."
Apparently a lot of People...and particularly Politicians...actually believe today that it is somehow the role of the Government--Federal And State and Local--to create jobs.
In my considered Redneck Opinion...all the Government does is steal money, waste it on Government jobs paying twice as many people three times as much money as the position is worth to do half the work...
...while at the same time making it harder and harder for entrepreneurs and existing business owners to make a living.
I've over the past 21 years incorporated three different companies. The last one going on three years ago as a result of leaving an Island on the Atlantic Ocean to take a job here in Knoxville with a company which worked doing design and engineering work primarily for the Coal Fired Power Plant Industry.
Within two months of Obama's election that company was out of business.
No surprise--since the "Community Organizer In Chief" stated out loud that he was going to (paraphrasing here) "bankrupt coal companies while at the same time necessarily making the price of electricity skyrocket."
Today I have a small corporation doing design and fabrication for the Plastics Industry...people that make bottles like Catsup and Gatorade is sold in at the Grocery store.
You know what I spend 10% to 25% of my time doing (depending on the month and time of the year like Corporate Tax Season in March)?
Filling out stupid assed forms and writing checks to pay taxes and fees on a company which has yet to turn a substantial profit.
You want to know how I believe our government can improve the job situation in this country?
GET THE HECK OFF MY BACK AND OUT OF MY WAY.

Obama/Holder Thug Government Enforces Foreign Laws
Problem Is...They're Wrong And Won't Admit It...
I know that you, like I, are happy that the Imperial Federal Government of the By-God United States of 'Merica is on the job this morning doing important things like protecting us from products containing wood from trees illegally harvested.
I was really getting so worried about where the wood I've been buying and cutting into sections in my basement bar was coming from that I was having trouble sleeping.
They (the Federal Government) can't keep illegal immigrants from coming into the country taking jobs and committing crimes, but they can keep us from buying a match stick of wood or a guitar with an Ebony wood fretboard from Madagascar and India if they think it might violate the terms of the recently amended Lacey Act, something signed into law in 1900 by President McKinley.
Of course it was Obama and Holder and some of the other sniveling, booger eating, tree hugging, patchouli stinking, tied dyed wild eyed climate change believers that changed the Lacey Act in 2009 as soon as he got into office to cover exotic wood species like it already covered fish and other wildlife.
So now Obama and Holder and their armed Thugs are wasting time showing up with machine guns at private businesses around the country looking for "exotic wood." It's gotten so bad apparently that famous musicians are afraid to travel overseas for fear that when they return through Customs here in the US that their guitar might be confiscated...even if it is a 1950's vintage instrument built before the Lacey Act was amended...because they can't prove its origin and age.

Federal agents swooped in on Gibson Guitar Wednesday, raiding factories and offices in Memphis and Nashville, seizing several pallets of wood, electronic files and guitars. The Feds are keeping mum, but in a statement yesterday Gibson's chairman and CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, defended his company's manufacturing policies, accusing the Justice Department of bullying the company. "The wood the government seized Wednesday is from a Forest Stewardship Council certified supplier," he said, suggesting the Feds are using the aggressive enforcement of overly broad laws to make the company cry uncle.

It isn't just Gibson that is sweating. Musicians who play vintage guitars and other instruments made of environmentally protected materials are worried the authorities may be coming for them next.
If you are the lucky owner of a 1920s Martin guitar, it may well be made, in part, of Brazilian rosewood. Cross an international border with an instrument made of that now-restricted wood, and you better have correct and complete documentation proving the age of the instrument. Otherwise, you could lose it to a zealous customs agent—not to mention face fines and prosecution.
John Thomas, a law professor at Quinnipiac University and a blues and ragtime guitarist, says "there's a lot of anxiety, and it's well justified." Once upon a time, he would have taken one of his vintage guitars on his travels. Now, "I don't go out of the country with a wooden guitar."
And here's Gibson's response:
Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar Corp., has responded to the August 24 raid of Gibson facilities in Nashville and Memphis by the Federal Government. In a press release, Juszkiewicz said: “Gibson is innocent and will fight to protect its rights. Gibson has complied with foreign laws and believes it is innocent of ANY wrong doing. We will fight aggressively to prove our innocence.”
The raids forced Gibson to cease manufacturing operations and send workers home for the day while armed agents executed the search warrants. “Agents seized wood that was Forest Stewardship Council controlled,” Juszkiewicz said. “Gibson has a long history of supporting sustainable and responsible sources of wood and has worked diligently with entities such as the Rainforest Alliance and Greenpeace to secure FSC-certified supplies. The wood seized on August 24 satisfied FSC standards.”
Juszkiewicz believes that the Justice Department is bullying Gibson without filing charges.
“The Federal Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. has suggested that the use of wood from India that is not finished by Indian workers is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because it is the Justice Department’s interpretation of a law in India. (If the same wood from the same tree was finished by Indian workers, the material would be legal.) This action was taken without the support and consent of the government in India.”

Check out this story where a couple of high school brothers were setting record time runs around the track when the idiots what be in charge stopped the race with one lap left because their "lightening detectors went off...

Joe Rosa, one of the top high school distance runners in the country, appeared to be on his way to breaking the New Jersey state record in the 3,200-meter run with a time worthy of being on the all-time national list when he was literally forced off the track by meet officials with one lap to go due to weather concerns.

I've Seen This Movie Before...
Last time we had a limp wristed pansy Assed butt kissing pacifist President here in the US was the Jimmuh Carter years in the late 1970's.
Slick Willie Clinton was a liberal but he thought nothing of tossing a few Cruise missiles across the border of some middle eastern country into a terrorist camp to distract attention away from his latest sexual dalliance.
And the Berkley patchouli stinking, Tie Dyed, Kumbaya singing tree hugging Earth Day liberal progressives have blamed every thing and everyone but Carter's policies for the Iranian Hostage crisis which lasted 444 days ending when Reagan was inaugurated.
Since then they've given ABSOLUTELY ZERO credit to President Bush's ability to keep further terrorist attacks from taking place here on American soil after the 9/11 incident which was essentially planned and implemented under Clinton.
This week, Ladies & Gentlemen, we're seeing EXACTLY THE SAME THING DEVELOP IN EGYPT UNDER OUR COMMUNITY ORGANIZER IN CHIEF Obamarama.
The militants and "dissidents" and "freedom fighters" are in the process of turning that country upside down and I guarnandamntee you that it ain't going to be pretty when the dust settles unless the US takes decisive action.
And I guarandamntee you that Americans and Western Europeans lives are at peril and probably will end up hostages if they are not dead shortly.
They just announced that the Egyptian Airline has suspended flights for the next 12 hours and I suspect that other air carriers going into the country if not the region have suspended or at least curtailed flights so if you are a non-muslim and want to get out now you are shit out of luck.
Just watch...and remember you heard it here first.
UPDATE 4:55 PM Delta Airlines has announced that their last flight out of Egypt will be tomorrow.
Isn't it lovely how quickly Obama and Hillary can screw around and allow this Egyptian shit to basically offset the stability we've managed to get in Iraq?
The difference is that Iraq doesn't sit beside the Red Sea and most importantly the Suez Canal.
Get ready for $5 dollar a gallon gasoline while you're at it I think.

Who Hu Are You?
Speaking Chinese With A British Accent...

I'm sitting here watching the joint news conference being conducted by our African born President Obama and the Chinese leader Hu.
I'm sorry...but I don't trust the Chinese for five minutes, and giving the little F**ker a translator with a British accent doesn't do a darn thing for me when it comes to making me believe anything he says regarding financial, business, economic, or military security efforts between the US and China.
Interestingly enough the translator for Obama sounds Chinese or at least Japanese or otherwise generically Asian...
China sits on a bunch of councils at the United Nations and when and if the Soviets or the Iranians or the North Koreans want to poop into an ice cream machine and then try to sell it to the rest of the world as an expensive chocolate au latte flavored desert the Chinese are always right there with them printing the packaging and making the US taxpayers foot the bill for the tamper proof seals on the cartons.
If I'm going to have to pay to eat shit I'd rather it be my own shit or the shit of my voluntary choosing, and President Obama and President Bush and President Clinton and the President Bush before and the US Congress (house and Senate) for the past 50 years have sold our souls to the Chinese and one day pretty soon the bill is going to come due and if we are not careful the payment is going to be in the form of some sort of weapon landing on our doorsteps, bought and financed by the good old US of A.

Anti Gun Media At It Again...
They Say "Shooter Fired 31 rounds from his first clip..."
[EXPANDED AND UPDATED EDITION]
I just watched the latest news conference [and thought about things some more now] from out in Arizona where the media and the Sheriff continued to spew subtle anti-second amendment rhetoric non stop.
Wild eyed, traumatized witnesses are now coming forward and being interviewed and in all likelihood they don't really know or accurately remember what happened, but just like the number of dead and wounded continued to climb yesterday so has the number of shots fired been escalated today.
Now they're saying 31 rounds, before the gunman changed clips and one of the victims tried to grab the gun/clip. And now apparently they're saying the gun jammed and misfired.
As I have reported here before on this blog, 30 years ago I personally went through the late night robbery of a restaurant where I as a customer had a sawed off shotgun poked into my back and pumped and had a small caliber pistol pounded on my head until the barel broke off the frame of the weapon, and in the heat of the moment all I could tell you was there were four black guys with one shotgun and a couple of pistols and they took my money and my watch.
And these lovelyNiggras Negros Blacks African Americans didn't apparently give a Tinkers Damn if it was against the law to carry a weapon or beat people in the head with it or take money and possessions which didn't belong them.
It's already against the law to take a gun and shoot someone or beat them with it, and yet the sniveling, tye- died, tree hugging, patchouli stinking, Kumbaya Singing San Francisco liberal/progressives want to pass even more laws intended to take away MY GUNS under the guise of protecting me from the animals like I've already encountered...
...and when seconds count, without my guns, their Government police department is only minutes away...
...followed by the EMS ambulance and the fire department to plug the holes in my head and mop up my blood off of the floor.
As an aside, while they use the actions of a few lunatics in a country with a population of 308,000,000 to further limit gun ownership, we're actually lucky that in most all of these recent events like Virginia Tech and Columnbine and Ft. Hood and now Arizona that the shooter was really basically a pretty bad shot when the smoke cleared.
I'm not making any threats here, but you can take this for what it is worth.
IF I or most of the other people I used to shoot competitively with out in the West Atlanta suburbs in the mid 1990's, walked in somewhere and fired 31 shots at close range...
...there would be 31 dead people, not half that number.
That's not a threat ladies and gentlemen, that's a FACT.
These deranged idiots running around shooting people most of the time really can't hit the broad side of a barn with a pistol from a distance of 10 feet.
Yes, the people causing the mayhem and headlines are technically "gun owners", but not knowledgeable RESPONSIBLE gun owners and most of the time they end up shooting themselves or a family member or leave their weapon loaded and laying around and their small children find it and blow their or a siblings' brain out accidentally and yet the media and the "public" and the government do gooders want to come after every gun in the country because of their actions and stupidity.
Check the statistics, ladies and gentlemen, (and I'm too lazy to Google it right now but I've seen them) and I know that you will find that there were very few if any crimes committed or reported in the past TEN YEARS involving the use of a firearm in an illegal manner by anyone who had gone to the trouble to get the training and pay the fees for a concealed carry permit.
And yet there are a large and growing number of crimes which have been prevented or their impact limited and lives and property otherwise saved by the use of legal weapons by legitimate gun owners exercising their second amendment rights to bear arms and protect their lives and property with a rifle, shotgun, or pistol.
And there is also a large and ever growing number of crimes which could have been prevented if people possessing legal weapons carry permits had not been prevented from using them because the government continues to limit the places responsible gun owners can have guns.
Back to the Arizona story, to any knowledgeable shooter who has practiced LEGALLY on a gun range doing rapid fire, it's not unusual for a semi-automatic piston to jam as it heats up and as you change clips...particularly a gun owned by someone that doesn't really know what they are doing and doesn't clean and otherwise take care of their weapon.
And the idea of a gun holding 31 rounds in a single clip is something believed only by the non-shooting public, the ignorant media, or shown in science fiction movies. That is more than double even the largest non-factory clip extensions available in gun shops and on the Internet.
[UPDATE Ooops...Glock makes a law enforcement/military clip which holds 33 rounds. It looks stupid and sticks way out of the grip of the gum but they're out there in states which don't already limit clips to 10 rounds. My mistake...I was wrong and I admit it in another blog posting on January 12th, so don't start bitching at me...]
I'm really disappointed that Fox News, in the rush to get the lead on this continuing story, has done such a shitty job of fact checking their on the air coverage.
Yesterday we had a dead Congresswoman which turned out to still be alive , and today we have 31 round Glock 9 MM bullet clips when there is really no such thing.
They quickly corrected the report of the death of the Congresswoman because they had to, but you'll probably not hear the 31 bullet clip falsehood corrected
Stupid people (as opposed to just uneducated...and there's a real difference) work in all disciplines in life, but we seem to have some of the most examples of stupidity in the ranks which matter most...
Working in "Education" at Government Schools and writing copy and doing broadcast work in "News Media outlets."
And interestingly enough they have the gumption to blame Talk Radio and Internet Bloggers for spewing falsehoods and hate while they're at it...and get away with it in most venues they control.

I Give Them Five Years...
And They'll Be Coming After People Like Me...
The government just can't stand a good thing.
It's against their very nature these days it seems.
Start doing something that works well or is popular or makes people a bunch of money, and it never fails that the elected shitheads (or in this case their appointed representatives at the FCC) will step in and start writing rules and put the kibosh on the whole program in the end.
Take the Internet, for instance; and more specifically the new so called "Network Neutrality" program which just passed down at FCC headquarters:
WASHINGTON -- The Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday approved a plan to regulate the Internet despite warnings that it could strangle industry investment and damage an economy that is still struggling to recover.
The 3-2 vote fell along partisan lines with Democrats capitalizing on their numerical advantage.
The rules would prohibit phone and cable companies from abusing their control over broadband connections to discriminate against rival content or services, such as Internet phone calls or online video, or play favorites with Web traffic.
Lawmakers in both parties have been arguing for months that Congress, not the Obama administration, should take the lead role in deciding whether and how much to police the web. But despite a brief backing-off earlier in the year, the FCC pushed ahead with its new regulatory plan.
President Obama said in a statement that the plan "will help preserve the free and open nature of the Internet while encouraging innovation, protecting consumer choice, and defending free speech."
I don't know Ladies & Gentlement...YOU pick the euphemism...

You name it, I guaran-damn-tee you that if this thing holds that it's just the beginning of the government installing a 21st century version of the old Radio "Fairness Doctrine" into the Internet where if you say something cranky that is right leaning or conservative you have to "BALANCE" your commentary with an equal amount of left leaning liberal/progressive bullshit else have the government come in and silence you--probably by making your ISP turn off your Internet service.
All of you out there that make your living on the Internet or spend more than a few hours a day better be very concerned with this development, even if you are not a real Blogger but instead just Twitter or blab on Facebook because Big Brother has been watching and now they're getting their slimy tentacles in the process with things like sales tax on purchases and now this "Net Neutrality" bullshit and I give them another five years before they're knocking on my door asking questions and making treats.
And of course like the DADT and START treaty this week in the Senate these useless "useful idiots" do this in a lame duck session of Congress at Christmas while a bunch of people aren't paying attention.
My two Republican Senators from Tennessee are going to get an ear full for breaking with the party and 11 other Republicans in voting with the Democrats on the START treaty limiting our ability to produce DEFENSIVE missiles which wouldn't blow up anything but incoming nuclear missiles launched by Russia or Iran or North Korea or now even possibly the idiot Chavez down in Venezuela.
It's a screwed up world in my opinion, but try to have a Merry Christmas anyway.

Niagara Falls Is FALLING ? ! ? !
Early Government Stupidity...
I'd forgot about this story of idiocy use of taxpayer money.
Back in 1969 the US Army Corps of Engineers decided to dry up the western branch of Niagara Falls so that they could test if the face of the rock was stable.
Apparently someone in the government--probably goaded by concerned geologists and environmental whackos--thought it was a good idea to try to stop it (the falls) from moving if it was or something.
It seems that the pointy headed idiot government do-gooders wanted to preserve the falls in its "present state" for visitors just like the eco-terrorists want to prevent the extinction of animals/plants and the "climate changers" believe that the perfect temperature for the planet earth is what it was when they passed the Kyoto Treaty...no warmer or no colder.
Problem is that anybody that has visited Niagara (and anyone that thinks clearly for that matter) knows that the falls have been moving upstream for millions of years to their present position through the process of erosion. There's even a display of the falls showing where they were at different times through history.
Yet the Imperial Federal Government of the By-God United States of 'Merica spends money trying to think about stopping the falls from moving further in order to "preserve" our natural beauty.

I'm surprised these same morons haven't spent money trying to keep the Grand Canyon from getting any deeper or possibly silting in when Global Warming causes the Sea levels to Rise.
I wish instead of doing stuff like this they'd lower my taxes so I could have the money to put a new roof on my house and buy a new central heating/AC system, but the Government as usual today has better ideas on how to spend my money that I have.
