President Bush Answers Age Old Question

Hopefully everyone with an IQ higher than room temperature knows that President Bush held a rare prime time news conference tonight. I missed the live broadcast, but I've sat here at 2:00 AM watching the re-broadcast on FOX news.

In my opinion, President Bush is his own best spokesperson--he should do a prime time discussion every sixty days. His silence in the vacuum of media spin is his own worst enemy.

After his brief prepared statement, he spent over forty-five minutes taking questions from reporters. As usual, most of the questions took the style of...

"Mr. President, have you stopped beating your wife?"

If he says yes, then they assume that he is admitting that he at one time beat first lady Laura.

If he says no, then they assume that he is still beating her.
